The brief

Stellar Stone House is a stone company in Dubai. It needed a fully functional e-commerce website that could show its stone collection in detail, with the sizes, finishes and types a designer or buyer needs, and also take online purchases from customers who want to buy.

The approach

We built the website on WordPress with WooCommercewhich gives the team a store they can run themselves. The design follows the brand guidelines the client provided, and the collection is organised so that buyers can narrow it down by stone type, size and finish.

The story

Stellar Stone House is a stone supplier based in Dubai, working with designers, architects and builders on projects around the world, from luxury hotels and residences to spas and yachts. The company came to us because it needed a website that is both a showcase and a shop: one that presents the stones properly and also lets customers buy them online.

a.

A brand told through stone

We designed the website following the brand guidelines the client supplied. The result is a restrained, editorial look that lets the materials lead, with a full-screen video on the home page and generous space for photography. Supporting pages tell the company's story: About, Our Story, Services, Clients and Collaborations.

b.

A collection built for buyers

The Collection is the heart of the site. Stones are organised by type (granite, limestone, marble, onyx, quartz, travertine and textured stones), and visitors can filter the range by slab length, thickness and finish, such as honed, leather or polished. Each stone has its own product page with its details and the options available, so a designer can compare materials without a phone call.

c.

Online purchases with WooCommerce

For customers who want to buy, the site runs a complete WooCommerce store. Products with several variants (sizes, thicknesses and finishes) can be chosen on the product page, added to a cart and purchased online. We used WordPress with WooCommerce because it is flexible and well known, and the team can add, edit and manage stones without a developer.

d.

Services and contact

A Services page explains how the company sources, produces and delivers, from choosing stone at the quarry to logistics and installation, and a contact page with the Dubai office address and an enquiry form for projects and orders.

What we built

  • An e-commerce website on WordPress and WooCommerce
  • A filterable stone collection with variants and product pages
  • Cart and online purchase flow
  • Brand pages: About, Our Story, Services, Clients and Collaborations
  • A contact form for enquiries
  • Design that follows the client's brand guidelines
  • A responsive layout for phone, tablet and desktop
f.

The outcome

Stellar Stone House now has a website that works as a catalogue, a portfolio and a store at once. Designers can explore and compare the collection, and customers can purchase online, all managed by the company itself.
